We believe this is the most basic way that we can help people grow spiritually. Our vision for you is consistent spiritual growth that results in a life that is centered on God's purpose.

Individual people have different things that help them move towards a closer relationship with God, but there are a few things that seem to work across the board with all levels of experience. It goes something like this:

Connecting with God: Engaging in personal spiritual practices like prayer, Bible reading, and just spending time with God always helps you move towards a new level. We also gather together corporately as believers to worship and seek a deeper connection with God. This goes hand-in-hand with something we like to call "God Encounters": experiences like baptism, prophecy, Encounter Weekends, and other events in which God shows himself to you in a new way.

Connecting with People: Building relationships with other believers is far more important than most of us realize. How we love others is a direct correspondence to our love for God. Through small groups, fellowship, ministering to one another, and working together we cultivate relationships that will last for eternity. These relationships are essential for going deeper with God.

Connecting with Purpose: You have a destiny. Whether you know it or even like the idea, God has an inconceivably brilliant plan, and you're right in the middle of it. Most often, the key to finding that divine purpose is wrapped up in serving someone else. You don't have to know where to start; just start somewhere. God will take it from there. For our part, we want to do all we can to empower you to start serving and begin to find God's plan for your life. That might mean serving at Word Alive, or it might not. We just want you to achieve everything that God has in store for you.

Our ultimate goal is to help people come into Christ-centered lives, where they are fully developed and devoted followers of Christ. It's something we're working on, too. We're pretty certain that none of us are ever going to stop making mistakes. We just want to keep learning, growing, and getting closer to Him. If you like the sound of that, then jump in! There's a good chance you're supposed to be a part of it.
